Yesterday, a Nollywood veteran, fondly called Elder Maya, passed on. This came after months of battling with a liver illness. Veteran Actor, Elder Maya Martins Njubuigbo aka Elder Maya, was a beloved Nollywood actor who featured in many films, and loved to feature in cultural stories, where he would usually play the role of a Chief or an uncle from the village.
Fellow actor, Yomi Fabiyi, was the first to announce his death via Instagram.
He said:
'RIP Elder Maya. You were a veteran and a hardworking one at that. Journey well papa. My concerns and sympathy with his families and close colleagues.'
He will surely be missed by his numerous fans. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
